The MVG Medienproduktion und Vertriebgesellschaft mbH based in Aachen/Germany is an associated publishing house/media production company with more than 30 years of experience in email marketing, production management, editorial work and publishing for nonprofit customers. MVG distributes fair traded food and handicrafts under the brand "Weltfairsand" and therefore takes active part in the promotion of fair trade.

The existing online shop had to be migrated to a system that directly communicates with the ERP system but also receives product information from a catalog software. The aim was to reduce editorial effort and integrate the existing software systems.

The new e-commerce solution based on eZ Publish is connected to the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics NAV via the Web-Connector. That makes it possible to request and display stock availability and price information from the ERP system in real-time.
